As an annual grading exercise, Security Agency Grading Exercise (SAGE) was started on 2016 and made mandatory since 2009 which aim to motivate all licensed security agencies to raise security and service standard while helping customers to differentiate the service quality between agencies. Usually, the assessment period start from June 1 of the previous year to May 31 the current year.

The grading assessment is divided
into three criteria: people, process, and system, with grades range from A
(excellent) to D (unsatisfactory). The Employment criteria has been newly added
to see the progressiveness of human
resource policies. Each agency will need to provide timesheets and details of
their employees’ shift patterns to demonstrate that it has operated effectively
without requiring its officers to work long hours regularly. It will also need
to provide documents showing that security officers’ basic monthly salaries are
higher than that recommended by the Progressive Wage Model. That’s where HRMLABS
takes in charge for you.

PLRD Grading Result

On last year’s SAGE, over 200 security agencies were participated in the grading, and the result itself has been out on January 11, 2019. Two of our new clients were successful to improve their grades from C (satisfactory) to B (good), a proven result of how our solutions, together with our clients, solve the problems faced by companies and gain a benefit by automating their HR administration process.

Some
criteria were revised to raise the standard on the grading assessment and for
instance, raise the standard of the agencies. Some revised criteria to assess in last
year’s SAGE criteria, which is on the progressiveness of human resource policy in each
security agency with three new areas: Overtime Exemption (OTE), Key
Employment Terms (KETs), and Sustainable Manpower.

automatically recorded by the system. Moreover, the online scheduling tools
enables security agencies to plan schedule for security officers which also
shows the public holiday and leave entitlement for the officers. With this attendance
and scheduling system, security agency will be able to accurately track the
officer’s working hour and prevent the long work hours that may lead to
unproductiveness. The alert system is also set to inform the agency whenever an
officer exceeds the normal working hours.

Our clients also utilized the
employee record management which provides Key Employment Terms (KETs) with the
template from Ministry of Manpower (MOM). HRMLABS system enables security
agency to store employee documents in the cloud system which is accessible and updatable.
Furthermore, HRMLABS system allows security agency to automate the payroll
calculation and release the itemised payslip, which include CPF contribution
and claims, in single click. Unlike the manual process which prone to
miscalculation and human errors, our automated system can solve the complex
calculation and make sure the salary is paid on time. We help clients to manage
salary increment, bonuses, or other entitlements and benefits as part of the
